In a houseful of toddlers and pets, you can start out having a bad day, but you keep getting detoured.

Dear Johnny,

It is our tradition that every morning Shelby, you and I see your Daddy out for work.  We are sleepy, our hair is a mess, and we are still wearing our pajamas, but we wouldn't miss the sunrise for the world, and it is so fun to wave at Daddy through the window as he scrapes the frost off his windshield and drives away, waving back.  Similarly, we have a ritual for when Daddy comes home in the evening.  As I see his headlights sliding over the driveway, I start singing the "Тати Тути" song, and you get  so very excited, and you look at the front door, and when it finally opens and Daddy enters the room, your face lights up with such unconditional love and happiness that I fall for your Daddy all over again.

These little traditions are important to me, Johnny.  It's what makes us a family.  We love to be together, and we never want to be apart. Never, ever.
